Statement of commitment
At MAYO Summer Club Eilat(the "Site"), we view accessibility as a top priority and work to comply with the relevant law and regulations. This site is built in accordance with the Israeli Equal Rights for People with Disabilities (Service Accessibility) Regulations, 2013 and with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
Accessibility adaptations
The following adaptations have been implemented to ease navigation and browsing for visitors with disabilities:
- Screen reader compatibility — semantic HTML tags + ARIA on interactive elements.
- Full keyboard navigation — Tab/Enter/Space/Esc on all components.
- Visible focus indicator — gold ring around every focused element.
- Alt text on images — descriptive alt for every image.
- Bidirectional support — RTL for Hebrew, LTR for English.
- Color contrast — meets WCAG AA (4.5:1 minimum), Lighthouse 100.
- Proper Hebrew typography — Heebo + Rubik + Frank Ruhl Libre for the Hebrew site.
- Readable typography — generous line-height, proper heading hierarchy.
- prefers-reduced-motion support — users with reduced-motion preferences get an animation-free experience.
- Skip Link — revealed on the first Tab press from a fresh page load.
Accessibility widget
An advanced accessibility widget is available in the bottom-right corner of every page, organized into 4 categories: Text (size, readable font, spacing, line height, alignment), Vision & Color (5 contrast modes, grayscale, highlight links, hide images), Cognition & Reading (pause animations, reading guide), and Navigation (large cursor). Settings persist in the browser.
